A directional-moisture, thermoregulating development resolved through supplier collaboration and controlled-variable testing.

The brief

Develop a performance fabric with one-way moisture transport and a temperature-responsive surface for an international performance-apparel program. The challenge was not one special yarn; it was making several materials behave correctly as one fabric system.

Three connected variables

Hydrophobic behaviour, the proportion of thermoregulating face yarn and the fabric construction all affected one another. Public detail stays intentionally high-level while the most recent construction data, ratios and test evidence remain private.

One shared development route

Hao brought yarn suppliers, the fabric manufacturer and the dyeing partner into the same development conversation—connecting information, defining the practical route and keeping each supplier aligned around one result.

Nine sampling rounds

Early rounds located a workable construction range. Later rounds changed one critical factor at a time, progressively narrowing the solution instead of producing a sequence of unrelated samples.

From fabric to production

Fabric samples and an in-house sample garment were completed. The project has moved into bulk production. Performance claims remain qualitative until the relevant standards and measurements are cleared for publication.
